Claude 3 vs ChatGPT: Which AI Sounds More Human?

Hi Friends 👋

I’ve had a chance to try out Claude 3, and it’s exciting; my ChatGPT obsession now has a competitor! Also in this week’s email:

  • Tested: Claude 3 vs ChatGPT - Find out which sounds more human

  • AI agents replace software engineers - meet Devin

  • The Boost Academy client wins (eg £100k in 8 days)

  • Threaten and reward ChatGPT for better outputs

  • Do 100% only AI automations work for social media?

  • And more…

But before we get started…

I want to share some wins from The Boost Academy clients:

  • £100k+ in sales during the first 8 days of March

  • From 40 to 100 repeat customers since December

  • 14k to 18k Instagram followers in less than a week using an AI-created image

  • Largest single day of sales outside the normal sales season

  • Plus multiple clients saving time and getting more productive with ChatGPT

If you are looking to add another £200k in profit this year, I’m opening 5 more slots in The Boost Academy later this week. 1 slot is already gone.

In February we sold all 10 slots before we closed.

To join the waitlist, to get early access before I announce it reply “Waitlist”.

Deep Dive

Claude 3 vs ChatGPT:
Which AI Sounds More Human?

Why you should care: Claude 3 creates more human-like text and is simpler to understand.

What you need to know: If you find ChatGPT is producing text that sounds too 'AI-generated', try Claude 3. You'll get a more human-sounding output using the same ChatGPT prompt in Claude 3.

On with the story…

If you've been reading this newsletter for a while, you'll know I love ChatGPT.

Business owners get distracted by new AI’s, so they don't spend time on the things that will grow their business.

I've even posted this meme on Twitter.

I created this newsletter and The Boost Academy to solve that.

But Claude 3 has proven me and my meme wrong.

Claude 3 is a breakthrough in producing writing that sounds more human, let me show you…

Claude 3 vs ChatGPT Example

Part of my writing process is to free-form ideas. Sometimes by typing, other times by dictation. I put all this raw into a source document.

(Whilst I remember, I’m opening up The Boost Academy with 5 more slots next week. You’ll get all my prompts inside!)

I’ve been free-forming ideas about comparing Google skills with ChatGPT skills in this doc.

Then, I put that source text through ChatGPT using my ‘Hemmingway ChatGPT Prompt,’ which rewrites it in an easy-to-read style.

Here's the ChatGPT output (with no editing):

I and the Art of Being a Business Owner

Cheat Code: Unlocking Your Mind is Step One

Picture a world without Google.

Here's a tale from before Google became my go-to.

I started my journey working from my bedroom.

Back then, finding information felt like a hunt.

Sure, there were websites, but they seemed to offer little.

Or so I thought.

I actually learned to build websites from books and CDs. Yes, that does make me sound old.

This method was quicker than Google for learning, faster than Excel for handling data.

It was like adding a turbocharger to your skills.

It involved reformatting and rewriting data.

The Productivity Leap

Google has changed the game, but I believe a similar leap is possible with AI, especially ChatGPT. By incorporating it into your daily tasks, you can bypass many obstacles. Much of our work revolves around communication—emails, texts, documentation, or blog posts. These tasks consume time. Now, transcription tools available on Macs, PCs, or phones, like Otter or Whisper, let you simply talk through your needs. With ChatGPT, transforming these transcriptions into something usable is straightforward. Whether it's cleaning up text, condensing it into a three-line email, or turning it into a step-by-step guide, it's about making communication quicker and more efficient. This is a game-changer for business owners overwhelmed by the time it takes to get things done. Now, I can dictate directly into my devices, turning speech into text in seconds. For example, to create this post, I dictated my thoughts, then used ChatGPT to clean up the transcript without altering the message.

That's the essence.

Your ideas matter. Let's find the best one and focus on it. Working with new business owners, I've seen a common theme: it's not the lack of ideas that stalls growth but the paralysis of too much to do. Many work long hours and feel they achieve little. Success often comes from concentrating on one channel. My own journey from £200k to £2m taught me the power of focus over simply being busy. Discovering your growth channel is tough, but once you do, the key is to concentrate your efforts. Yet, we often remain trapped in chaos. AI adds to this by tempting us to do more when we should do less but more efficiently. Good solutions improve and optimize; bad ones distract and overwhelm.

Now compare that to the Claude 3 output, same input text and the same prompt (again with no editing):

Unfree your mind. It's the first step to being a business owner's cheat code.

Imagine working without Google. Let me tell you a small story about the pre-Google era and when I first discovered it.

I was working from my bedroom. Information was hard to find.

There were some websites, but the content available was limited. Or so I thought.

In fact, I taught myself how to build websites using books and CD-based software. OMG, I sound old.

AI is faster than Google for learning. It's faster than Excel for data.

It supercharges you by reformatting and rewriting data. It's a productivity upgrade.

I understand Google is massive. But I feel the same productivity upgrade is available for people who are very good at using AI, specifically ChatGPT.

If you start using it for everything, you can shortcut a lot of the things that are holding up your work. Lots of our work is based on messaging, emails, texts, specifications, documentations, or writing blog posts.

That takes time to do. But now we can use transcription tools like the ones embedded in the Mac or PC, Otter on your phone, or Whisper within ChatGPT.

Just chat away and explain what you want done. Then it's very easy to use transformation prompts like "type this transcript," "make this readable," or "turn this into instructions."

Turn it into a three-line email. "I'm emailing such-and-such about this, and I want you to explain..."

Turn this into a list of instructions. This is the first, quickest upgrade for business owners: getting communication quicker and faster in text.

This is the first big unlock. Most people are absolutely blocked by time.

"I don't have time to sit down and do those things," they say. But now I'm dictating it straight into my phone.

Actually, I'm dictating it into my PC and Mac. I double-hit the function key, and the transcription service came straight up.

To create this blog post, I've taken that transcription, gone to ChatGPT, and used the prompt: "Tidy my transcript below for spelling and grammar. Do not change the wording and break each paragraph into a new line."

That's it! Tell me all your ideas, and let's brainstorm the best one. Then, let's keep on track.

It's a pleasure working with many new business owners and managers. The number one struggle isn't a lack of ideas on how to grow, but paralysis—the feeling of being too busy to do anything.

This includes working 14 hours per day and getting nothing done. The majority have become financially independent through one channel.

The channels are different, but the focus was the same. This was exactly the same for my previous business—lost with the growth channel.

From £200k to £2m, the art of focus beats the art of being busy. Here's the thing: finding this growth/Product-Market Fit took struggle and scrap.

But once you've found the chink, the method changes to focused delivery. However, our minds are still stuck in the chaos.

AI complicates this—it makes us business people want to do more when we need to do less and use AI to streamline and keep us focused.

Good solutions involve improving, optimizing, and delivering. Bad solutions involve distraction, chasing shiny objects, and thinking we can do more because of overwhelm, not wanting to.

I've built an AI chatbot to help solve this. My newsletter subscribers will get access to this AI chatbot in the next issue. (Sign up link in my bio)

You see the Claude 3 output is way better than the ChatGPT output.

Of course, it needs editing, but the time required from ideas to output was less than 10 minutes. Better input ideas and clarity would have also given better results.

That’s all folks…

…now you know that:

Claude 3 produces more human-sounding text, so use it in conjunction with ChatGPT to get the best results.
