GNoME found 52,000 new layered compounds similar to graphene that could enable advances in electronics and superconductors — previously only ~1,000 such materials had been identified
528 new lithium-ion conductors discovered, the types which could improve batteries
Previous trial-and-error efforts for materials discovery have been blown away by GNoME, demonstrating AI's ability in materials discovery
Researchers say this is just the beginning - continued AI development is expected to uncover more new materials needed for clean energy tech, quantum computing, EV batteries, and other future applications.

6 years ago I bought a software as a service (SAAS) company. By upgrading its sales and marketing, we grew it 10x.
This SAAS business sold accountancy software to local government.
Our initial marketing approach was to sell our software with direct sales offers - eg just selling our product.
This approach worked to a degree.
However, the direct sales offer only resonated with people who had an immediate problem.
Which was why our sales were seasonal around financial year-end.
So, we decided to try different types of lead magnets to build our list of prospects throughout the year.
We ran educational webinars and offered free resources like budgeting templates.
The most effective Lead Magnet was our free local government conference.
The results were incredible.
It was far easier with our cold outreach to get people to sign up for free high-value webinars and conferences.
And once they were on the webinar, we didn't have to convince them of anything. We just had to teach them, which demonstrated our knowledge and helped us build credibility.
In fact, in our training webinars, we would spend 99% of the time training and just 1% of the time selling.
So when presenting our solution, which was normally a shortcut to what we had covered in the webinar, there was always lots of interest.
We discovered that selling to people we had helped first worked best.
Our lead volumes rocketed, and so did our sales conversion.
